Mandela
Nelson Mandela was a great leader and freedom fighter who worked to end apartheid in South Africa. Born in 1918, he spent 27 years in prison for standing up against unfair racial laws.
After his release, Mandela helped bring peace and unity to his country and played a major role in creating a democratic government. In 1994, he became South Africa’s first Black president. He also received the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to promote equality, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
Nelson Mandela’s achievements made him a global symbol of courage, justice, and hope.
