Promoting British Values
At Abbey Manor College, promoting British values means embedding democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect in the way we live and learn - both in our school and in the wider world.
Through classroom activities, group projects, and community engagement, students are encouraged to express their views respectfully, understand their rights and responsibilities, and appreciate the diversity of modern Britain.
- Democracy
Everyone has a voice. Share your ideas and listen to others. Voting and decision-making matter in school and society. - Rule of Law
Rules keep us safe and fair. Following the school code of conduct and understanding the law helps us all. - Individual Liberty
You have the freedom to make choices about your learning and your future but always take responsibility for them. - Mutual Respect
Treat everyone with respect, no matter their background or beliefs. Respect makes our school a stronger community. - Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs
Learn about, and celebrate, the differences in others. Diversity makes life richer.
These values shape how we behave, how we treat each other, and how we contribute to our community every day.
