Our Code of Conduct

Ready
- Be punctual.
- Come in correct school uniform.
- Enter the classroom in an orderly manner.
- Be prepared - have the appropriate equipment and attitude.
- No gum, food or drinks other than water.
Respectful
- Do as you are asked by all members of staff, first time without question.
- Listen to others, do not call out, and use appropriate language and tone.
- Respect yourself and others.
- Look after our building, displays and equipment - no littering
Safe
- Follow all health and safety rules.
- No touching whatsoever - keep hands, feet, objects and personal comments to yourself.
- Be in the right place at the right time, and not in unsupervised areas.
- Leave valuables at home, the College is not responsible for them.
Our Three Non-Negotiables
Alongside these expectations that we set for our students, the following three are non-negotiables
These three non-negotiables are displayed in all classrooms and corridors as reminders of our expectations:
- No Swearing
- No Chewing
- No Touching
Attendance
Abbey Manor College expects a high level of attendance from every student.
School start time is 9am, and students are expected to arrive before this - lateness results in detention after school.
Uniform Rules for Students
- You must wear full uniform every day.
You are expected to wear it correctly and will be challenged if it is not worn appropriately. - Polo shirts and sweatshirts can be purchased from the school office.
You are also expected to wear black school trousers and plain black shoes. - Students in Year 10 and 11 who are studying Sport are issued with uniform tracksuit bottoms.
You may wear plain black trainers. - If you fail to arrive in the correct uniform, you will be placed in the referral room.
Your parents will be contacted to discuss the uniform issue.
