Safeguarding
Safeguarding Statement
At Abbey Manor College we are committed to promoting the safety and welfare of all students. As part of this commitment, we have a legal responsibility to inform Children’s Social Care of any child protection concerns.
All reports are taken seriously and handled with the utmost confidentiality. Remember, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
Your prompt action can make a significant difference in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
We treat Online Safety as an interrelated theme across safeguarding and curriculum planning - we have a dedicated page on E-Safety here.
If you are concerned about a child, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) in the first instance, using the contact details below - or via our contact form at the bottom of this page.

Are you worried about a child?
If you are concerned about the safety and welfare of a child, you can contact the Lewisham Multi-Agency Safeguarding (MASH) Hub, which provides a single point of access to services with a duty to keep children safe.
• Email MashAgency@lewisham.gov.uk
• Daytime Hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) Call 0208 314.6660
• Out of Hours (6pm – 8am Monday to Friday and 8am Sat to 8am Monday)
When MASH receive a referral, the agencies within the team can share information with a social worker, who will use this to decide what help the child and family need and whether the child is at risk of harm.
