Times of the School Day
Abbey Manor College is open to students from 8.45am to 3.00pm (1.00pm on Friday), including a 15-minute break in the morning and a 30-minute lunch. All students are entitled to breakfast from 8.45am. We offer an extended day for students to attend homework, revision, and after-school clubs until 4:15pm Monday to Thursday.
Lesson start times vary by year group:
For Years 7 and 8, the school day begins at 9.00am.
For Years 9, 10, and 11, the school day begins at 9.15am.
Registers are taken by Form Tutors twice a day:
Once at the start of the College Day at 9.00am for Years 7 and 8 or 9.15am for Years 9, 10, and 11
Once during the afternoon session at 12.45pm for Years 7 and 8 or 1.30pm for Years 9,10 and 11.
Registers are recorded electronically on the College database system, SIMS.
