Wellbeing Hub
Central to our commitment to our students' mental and physical health is our Wellbeing Hub at the John Evelyn Campus - a tangible expression of our whole-school approach to wellbeing. In addition to their academic curriculum, students in Year 9 to 11 have weekly access to the Hub to develop employability skills, and promote positive mental, physical, and social wellbeing.
What We Offer at the Wellbeing Hub
At the Hub students participate in ASDAN short courses, gain First Aid qualifications and take part in the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) – together helping them develop the resilience and independence needed for life in modern Britain.
Students can also take part in the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards program. The awards celebrate students who demonstrate commitment, resilience, and positive contributions, including, for example, recognition for excellence and self-discipline.
By working in partnership with local organisations, health professionals, the Hub aims to reduce health inequalities and empower students to take an active role in their own wellbeing.
Support is also offered to parents and carers:
One-to-one sessions with our onsite school counsellor are available at the Hub to provide trusted support to students. The Family Hub and Friday Parent drop-ins strengthen home-school partnerships and providing guidance and resources for families.
By combining targeted student support with parental engagement, the Hub helps pupils develop coping strategies, self-regulation, and confidence, ensuring they can overcome challenges, engage fully in learning, and thrive in our safe, inclusive environment.
