Headteacher's Welcome

At the heart of our college is a commitment to offering all students an outstanding education, regardless of their circumstances, socioeconomic background or starting point.
Our ethos is rooted in compassion, ambition and the unwavering conviction that every student can thrive - when given the right support and opportunities.
We support our students to succeed academically, but also to develop as confident and responsible citizens of the world.
Through our programme of international visits and celebration of our cultural diversity, pupils gain valuable life experiences and transferable skills. We strive to instil in them the values needed for future education, employment and life in modern Britain.

Personalised academic pathways
Students come to us at different academic stages and for many reasons. Often, their needs cannot be fully met in a mainstream environment. Some have experienced considerable disruption or trauma, and may have gaps in their learning as a result.
From the moment they join us, each student receives a holistic review that considers academic ability, special educational needs, and therapeutic and pastoral requirements. We are proud to offer personalised pathways that are flexible, ambitious and tailored to the individual.
Pastoral Care & Wellbeing
We are committed to nurturing students’ mental health, wellbeing and personal development. Pastoral support sits at the heart of our work, and we firmly believe it is central to re‑engaging students in learning.
Students in Years 9 to 11 have weekly access to our Wellbeing Hub at the John Evelyn Campus, where they participate in ASDAN short courses covering all dimensions of wellbeing - physical, emotional, social, occupational, financial, environmental and spiritual. They also have opportunities to gain first aid qualifications and take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, helping them develop resilience, independence and a sense of achievement.
Enrichment
We have a deep commitment to offering opportunities outside the classroom that spark curiosity, build resilience and encourage students to enjoy lifelong learning. Our enrichment programme offers a wide range of after-school activities designed to broaden horizons and develop essential life skills.
Our strong Tutor Group System promotes active participation, collaboration and the development of both academic and personal competencies. Students can also take part in our Ambassador programme, which helps them build confidence, develop leadership skills and raise aspirations for the future.
I look forward to meeting you when you visit the college.
