John Evelyn Wellbeing Hub

Overview

The Wellbeing Hub, located in Ladywell, is a dedicated and nurturing environment designed to support and enhance the health, wellbeing, and personal development of students. The Hub provides a structured, focused space where students are supported to engage positively with learning, develop life skills, and strengthen their emotional and social wellbeing.

Students in Years 9, 10, and 11 each attend the Hub for one day per week, ensuring consistent and meaningful access to targeted wellbeing support alongside their mainstream education. This flexible model allows students to benefit from personalised interventions.

Our Purpose

The Hub exists to support physical, mental, and social wellbeing across the broader school. By working in partnership with local organisations, health professionals, the John Evelyn Wellbeing Hub aims to reduce health inequalities, promote prevention, and empower students to take an active role in their own wellbeing.

What We Offer

The Wellbeing Hub delivers a broad and inclusive curriculum that supports academic engagement, personal growth, and employability skills.

The Hub is a registered ASDAN Short Course provider, offering recognised qualifications that support the development of practical skills, confidence, and independence. In addition, the Hub is a registered Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Centre, enabling students to participate in this prestigious programme and gain valuable experiences in volunteering, physical activity, skills development, and teamwork.

A wide range of short courses is available to all students attending the Hub. These courses are carefully selected to meet individual needs and interests and may include wellbeing-focused learning, personal and social development, employability skills, and enrichment activities.
