Workshops & Training

Youth First Aid

In addition to ASDAN short courses, the Wellbeing Hub delivers accredited Youth First Aid training, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the safe use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). This training equips students with essential, life-saving skills, increasing their confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations and promoting a strong sense of responsibility and community awareness.

To date, 39 Year 10 and Year 11 students have successfully achieved the Youth First Aid Award, demonstrating both practical competence and a commitment to supporting the wellbeing and safety of others. These qualifications provide valuable real-world skills that benefit students within school, at home, and in the wider community.

Tailored Workshops & Courses

Students can participate in tailored workshops and short PSHE sessions designed to support their social, emotional, and personal development. By addressing individual needs and challenges, the workshops help to promote positive behaviour, enhance self-regulation, and encourage personal responsibility. In addition, the Hub’s inclusive approach ensures that all students, including those at risk of disengagement or experiencing social, emotional, or mental health difficulties, have access to timely support. Through these targeted interventions, pupils not only build confidence and life skills but also develop the awareness and understanding necessary to make safe, informed choices, strengthening their readiness to learn and their ability to thrive within the school community.
