Admissions
Abbey Manor College is primarily a provision for young people who experience difficulties in managing their behaviour. To this end the majority of students have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.
Our aim is to:
- Give students a second chance at becoming successful beyond their statutory education.
- Provide support for staff in schools
- Develop inclusive approaches
- Raise the attainment of students excluded, or on the verge of permanent exclusion
- Involve and support parents and carers
- Provide high quality provision which offers best value
- Promote the active involvement of other agencies
This document below is our Admissions policy, and will act as a guide for schools, Alternative Provisions and Local Authorities in the process of making the most effective use of this resource.
As with all maintained schools, the Local Authority is the admissions authority for Abbey Manor Collge. Further information about the admissions and referral process can also be obtained from the Admissions Team at the Local Authority.
