At Abbey Manor College, enrichment is at the heart of everything we do. As our staff quotes show, we are deeply committed to nurturing our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, while developing a lifelong love of learning. Through our enrichment and extracurricular opportunities, we aim to help every student grow into a well-rounded, responsible, and compassionate global citizen.

We believe that enrichment is just as vital as academic study. This is reflected in the wide range of activities and experiences offered across the curriculum and throughout the wider life of the school, all this feeds into the Abbey Manor Charter.

The Abbey Manor Charter offers a special opportunity for all students at Abbey Manor College between Years 7 and 11. This school-based programme celebrates and recognises the many ways our pupils achieve beyond the classroom  from sports teams and after-school clubs to day trips to galleries and museums, residential visits, musical and dramatic performances, and learning new skills such as playing an instrument.

The Charter also embraces career exploration, giving students the chance to attend career events, meet employers and experience workplaces. Beyond school, we encourage our pupils to contribute to their local community whether through volunteering or participating in local clubs. Through the Abbey Manor Charter, our students are inspired to grow, explore, and make a positive impact, both within school and in the wider world.”

We celebrate and track each student’s involvement in enrichment through the Abbey Manor Charter. Students are recognised and celebrated by being awarded their Charter Certificate at the end of the year. This is a milestone all students aim to achieve during their time at Abbey Manor College.
