AQA's GCSE Religious Studies course covers a range of religions and non-religious beliefs, and aims to help students develop critical thinking skills and an understanding of the role of religion in culture:

Content
Students study a variety of religions and non-religious beliefs, including Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, atheism, and humanism.

Learning outcomes
Students develop their understanding of religious beliefs and teachings, and how to construct well-argued arguments. They also learn to reflect on their own values and beliefs, and how to apply their knowledge to questions of belief, value, and meaning.

Students develop analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to work with abstract ideas, and leadership and research skills.

Assessment
Students complete all assessments at the end of the course. Question papers are designed to enable students of all abilities to show what they know.
