Headteacher's Welcome

Amc003Abbey Manor College is an 11-16 Alternative Provision based in South East London.

At Abbey Manor College we are committed to giving our students every opportunity to excel academically, to build positive relationships with their peers and adults, and to make positive contributions as independent and confident learners.

Our main aim is to equip our students for reintegration, Further Education or employment, by providing them with a curriculum that gives them a chance to succeed beyond their statutory education into adulthood.

Abbey Manor College is also the Local Authority Alternative Provision for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education. Our students join the College throughout the academic year, at various stages of their secondary educational journey. They are referred for a number of reasons ranging from behaviour, to specific educational needs that cannot always be met in a mainstream setting.

At KS3, the majority of students are prepared for return to mainstream education; as such they follow National Curriculum modelled lessons. This ensures that they successfully reintegrate into mainstream school. At KS4, students have the potential to  go on to further education, apprenticeship or employment with 5-7 GCSE’s or equivalent. They will also be equipped with the life skills required to make a positive impact in society.
