European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

Our society is becoming increasingly digital.  It is essential that young people entering further education or the workplace have the knowledge and skills to keep up and be able to use IT equipment effectively.  Therefore, our students complete the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) in Year 11.

Students complete the ECDL at Level 2.  The ECDL is an internationally recognised IT qualification designed to give students the skills to use a computer confidently and effectively.  The ECDL qualification is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT.

There are 5 units required to complete the course:

  • Using Internet and Email
  • Word Processing
  • Presentation Software
